Program Description
This activity will address the management of heart failure (HF) in older adults, African Americans, patients with diabetes, and patients with poor renal function.

Cardiologists, internists, pharmacists, NPs, PAs and other clinicians who encounter patients with HF.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant should be able to:

  1. Discuss the differences between HFrEF and HFpEF.
  2. Describe evidence-based recommendations for the management of chronic HFrEF.
  3. Incorporate guideline recommendations as appropriate for the management of special populations of patients including the elderly, African-Americans, patients with T2DM, and those with renal insufficiency.
