Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition that can significantly impact a patient’s quality of life (QoL). Unfortunately, many patients with psoriasis do not seek treatment, are undertreated, or do not adhere to traditional treatment protocols. Furthermore, patients with psoriasis are at an increased risk for other serious illnesses and depression. Clinical studies have demonstrated the safety and efficacy of biologic therapies in patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis, and these therapies have provided high degrees of disease improvement. In this CME activity, a patient scenario will be utilized to demonstrate clinical decision-making when managing patients with psoriasis.
