Anti-TNF agents are effective for inducing and maintaining remission in patients with Crohn's disease. However, a significant number of patients who initially respond to treatment eventually lose response and experience a flare of their symptoms. Dr. Gary Lichtenstein explores this issue through the presentation of a case of a young man with Crohn's disease and secondary nonresponse to biologic therapy.
