Current medical therapies for inflammatory bowel disease are efficacious for some patients but not all. Physicians are now learning how to more effectively use current agents to optimize therapy, and research focusing on new treatments is ongoing.  In this audio lecture, Dr. Gary Lichtenstein reviews the optimal use of current agents in ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease and how treatment can improve the quality of life of patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
