Target Audience: The intended audience for this activity is physician assistants, nurse practitioners and other health care professionals involved in the treatment of patients with IBD.
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this educational activity, participants should be better able to:
- Examine the pathophysiology of inflammatory bowel disease to better understand how specific therapies aid in the treatment of mild to severe disease.
- Describe various diagnostic modalities and assessment tools that may improve the early diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease.
- Evaluate medical advances for patients with inflammatory bowel disease that may improve patient management and outcomes.
- Assess everyday challenges that may present to advanced practice clinicians, as well as interventions and solutions that have served to improve the overall outcome of these patients.

Successful completion of the post-test is required to earn AAPA Category 1 CME credit. Successful completion is defined as a cumulative score of at least 70 percent correct.

How To Participate in this Activity and Obtain CE Credit:
To participate in this CE activity, you must read the objectives, answer the pretest questions, view the CE Content, and complete the CE posttest and evaluation. Provide only one (1) correct answer for each question. A satisfactory score is defined as answering 4 of the 5 posttest questions correctly. Upon receipt of the completed materials, if a satisfactory score on the posttest is achieved, Vindico Medical Education will issue Credit Certificate.
