Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a global epidemic with a worldwide burden. Physicians must address the importance of timing and management options for treating HBV. This monograph will review the management of HBV during pregnancy, in children, adolescents, and immunocompromised patients, and address cultural competency in the clinician-patient dialogue to bridge cultural and language gaps to improve adherence and outcomes in patients with HBV.
