Lowering intraocular pressure (IOP) continues to be the only proven method for the treatment and prevention of glaucoma. However, target IOP is not achieved with topical therapy in all cases. Others will need nonpharmacological means to achieve target pressure. Cyclodestructive laser modalities to lower IOP have been used for more than six decades. This educational activity will explore the utilization of conventional diode transscleral cyclophotocoagulation to treat patients suffering from glaucoma.
