All therapies for multiple sclerosis (MS) have potentially negative effects. These include flu-like symptoms with the interferon-betas; injection-site reactions with glatiramer acetate; flushing and gastrointestinal effects with dimethyl fumarate; and diarrhea and hair thinning with teriflunomide. This CME activity will discuss treatment related adverse events in MS and how to treat them.
