A relapse may be defined as an objective, clinically ascertainable, new, or significantly worsening neurological deficit. Some treatment options for multiple sclerosis (MS) include intravenous methylprednisolone, prednisone, intramuscular adrenocorticotrophic hormone, intravenous Immunoglobulin, and plasmapheresis. This CME activity will discuss relapse management in MS including the current role of steroid use, rehabilitation, and recommended vaccines.
