There are a few reasons when permanent discontinuation of a disease-modifying therapy immunomodulatory therapy is acceptable. Some considerations in ending a multiple sclerosis (MS) immunomodulatory treatment include the type of medication the patient is on, the risks and benefits of his or her current disease modifying therapy, the form of MS, and the patient preference. In this CME activity, leading neurologists will discuss two patient cases on immunomodulator therapy and whether their therapy should be discontinued or not.
