In developing countries, 62% of the world’s population are obese, resulting from economic growth, urbanization, nutrition transition and less active lifestyles. It is well documented that obesity influences cancer development. Historical data over the past 25 years has shown that 14% of cancer deaths in men and 20% of cancer deaths in women are due to obesity. This educational activity will explore this relationship between obesity and cancer.
