Target Audience: The intended audience for the activities is oncologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health care professionals involved in the management of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and/or multiple myeloma.
Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Describe the mechanism of action of recently approved and emerging therapies for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
- Evaluate therapies that may be appropriate in first-line vs relapsed/refractory settings.
- Apply the latest clinical evidence regarding available therapies, combinations, and sequencing to the management of patients with CLL.
- Review the mechanisms of action and contexts for use of available and emerging therapies for multiple myeloma.
- Select treatment for patients with multiple myeloma based on the latest clinical evidence as well as individual patient and disease characteristics.
- Describe combination therapies and sequencing considerations for the treatment of multiple myeloma.
- Employ appropriate monitoring for safety considerations for the various classes of therapeutics.
