Activity Overview

This activity features highlights captured from the Fifth Annual Retina Fellow Summit held in November 2020. The Summit included an expert faculty panel and an audience of retina fellows engaging in discussions on current clinical data, clinical cases, and practice transitions.

The overall goal of this program is to provide retina fellows, ophthalmology residents, retina specialists, and comprehensive ophthalmologists who treat diseases of the retina with cutting-edge clinical data, translational research, and practice information to optimize patient care and facilitate practice transitions.

Target Audience

Retina fellows and ophthalmology residents (primary) 
Retina specialists and comprehensive ophthalmologists who treat diseases of the retina (secondary) 


Learning Objectives

After participating in this activity, participants will demonstrate the ability to: 

  • Evaluate and interpret the continually expanding literature on the treatment of retinal vascular diseases 
  • Develop optimal, individualized management plans for patients with retinal vascular diseases by applying the latest clinical data  
  • Describe considerations for effectively transitioning from residency/fellowship to practice 
  • Discuss practical aspects for achieving success in various practice settings
