The damage associated with age-related macular degeneration begins before visual symptoms occur, making early diagnosis critical in achieving the best outcomes for patients. Large-scale clinical trials have given significant evidence to support the use of anti-VEGF therapy in managing wet AMD, as well as suggest regimens that may prove more beneficial. Safety concerns and the potential for long-term systemic effects should also be weighed. In this activity, leading clinicians will share their regimens for managing patients with wet AMD, discuss the data that led them to their treatment decisions, and look ahead to potential treatments for both wet and dry AMD.
