Incisional glaucoma surgery has traditionally been reserved for patients with progressive disease, and in whom medical and laser therapies have been exhausted. Trabeculectomy with antifibrotics and tube shunt surgery have been associated with potentially vision-threatening complications. This educational activity will discuss newer procedures targeting aqueous inflow and outflow which have been developed over the past decade to improve the safety profile of glaucoma surgery.
