Neurotrophic corneal ulcers, or neurotrophic keratitis, are one of the most misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed corneal conditions seen by ophthalmologists. This is mainly due to secondary corneal infections. Patients are treated for corneal infections for long periods of time but they just aren't getting better. This CME activity will discuss diagnosing and treating neurotrophic corneal ulcers.
