The use of omega-3s helps in eye conditions such as dry eye disease and age-related macular degeneration. Two different kinds of omega-3s that deliver EPA and DHA to target tissues in the body are known as synthetic ethyl esters and natural triglycerides. This CME activity will discuss clinical evidence pertaining to the effect of oral re-esterified omega-3 supplementation on dry eye disease.
