Dry eye disease (DED) is the most common eye problem for patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The initial treatment of DED in RA remains ocular surface lubrication with artificial tear substitutes and lubricating ointments. Additional medical therapies are required in patients that are non-responsive to topical lubrication alone. This CME activity will discuss managing ocular disorders and medical conditions that may compromise the ocular surface.
