Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) is a leading cause of dry eye syndrome. It also is associated with an eyelid problem called blepharitis. Blepharitis is a common eyelid inflammation that sometimes is associated with a bacterial eye infection, symptoms of dry eyes, or certain types of skin conditions. It is the most common diagnosis used by eye care professionals. This CME activity will discuss strategies in managing MGD and chronic blepharitis.
