The advancement of management options for diabetic retinal disease and the continuing clinical evaluation of therapeutics are furthering effective treatment options for diabetic macular disease (DME) and diabetic retinopathy (DR). With the wealth of recent data reported from ongoing and recently completed clinical studies, expert review as well as guidance of pivotal clinical trials for the management of diabetic macular edema and retinal vein inclusion is beneficial for retina fellows.
