Diabetic retinopathy is a leading cause of visual impairment in the United States, with prevalence rates of 28.5%. Recent clinical studies examining innovative treatment and management protocols have demonstrated findings whose integration into clinical practice have the potential to enhance outcomes in patients with diabetic retinal disease.
