In the anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) era, steroids, laser treatment, and vitrectomy still play important roles in the management of diabetic macular edema (DME). There are different types of VEGF-blockage agents, along with various types of steroids and laser modes. Physicians may lack knowledge about the use of multimodal therapy in the treatment of DME. In this continuing medical education activity, expert physicians will examine some of the combination therapies that can safely and effectively treat DME.
