The ability of optical coherence tomography (OCT) to view anatomic relationships in three dimensions and in high resolution has made intraoperative use of OCT a natural application for this imaging system. The development of a handheld OCT scanner has enabled intraoperative OCT imaging in supine patients. This CME activity will assess the role and value of intraoperative and real-time intraoperative use of OCT in ophthalmic imaging.
