Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a noninvasive imaging modality with the potential to enhance the evaluation and management of retinal diseases. Studies have identified efficacy of OCTA in the evaluation of diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and retinal vascular occlusions, with many other studies ongoing. Within the CME activity, Dr. Jay Duker provides discussion on the principles of OCTA, the pros and cons of this newer technology versus other imaging modalities, and its utilization in the evaluation and management of retinal disease.
