Target Audience: The intended audience for this activity is rheumatologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health care professionals involved in the treatment of patients with rheumatoid arthritis and other immune-mediated inflammatory diseases.

Learning Objective: Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant will be better able to:

  • Assess immunological targets of available and emerging immune-based therapies.
  • Review the underlying principles of immunity and inflammation as they contribute to the immunopathology of immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) such as rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Select treatment for patients with IMID based on the latest clinical evidence as well as patient characteristics and prognosis.
