Spondyloarthritis (SpA) comprises a clinically heterogenous group of immune-mediated inflammatory diseases that includes psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA). Although these conditions share common immunopathology and some overlap of treatment strategies, each has its own array of approved options. Additionally, data continue to emerge regarding the optimal management of patients based on individual symptoms and comorbidities. Education is needed to keep clinicians apprised of the latest developments to promote timely diagnosis and evidence-based treatment. In this educational Ace the Case web series, experts present clinical cases to illustrate how clinical features can be used to differentiate these conditions and review strategies for individualized treatment of axSpA and PsA with axial involvement. Faculty will review the latest evidence to support current and emerging treatment options for SpA.
